Irailaren 24an MatiaZale Txiki ARTEan sariak banatzeko ekitaldia egin genuen, 2016ko ohorezko MatiaZalearen laguntzarekin: Luis Chillidarekin. Laguntzaileei esker —Donostiako Aquariuma, Tamayo, KCB, Bodegas Olarra, BM eta Ogiberri—, partaide eta irabazleek sariak eskuratu eta aperitibo bat hartu ahal izan zuten. Ondoren antolatutako tailerretan, nagusi zein txiki, den denok gozatu genuen.

58 artelan jaso dira eta oso pozik gaude emaitzarekin. Oso polita da ikustea «txikienek» nola adierazten duten adinekoekiko harremana, jakituria eta esperientzia multzoa, errespetua…

El 24 de Septiembre celebramos la entrega de premios de I.MatiaZale Txiki ARTEan, con la colaboración de nuestro MatiaZale de honor 2016, Luis Chillida. Gracias a los colaboradores, los participantes y los ganadores pudieron disfrutar de los premios y de un aperitivo (Aquarium SS, Tamayo, KCB, Bodegas Olarra, BM, OgiBerri) . A posterior hicimos unos talleres en los que pudimos disfrutar todos, mayores y pequeños.

Este próximo jueves día 28 de Septiembre a las 19h, celebraremos en Orona Fundazioa  el tercer acto anual de MatiaZaleak, donde se hará el reconocimiento a personas y asociaciones colaboradoras de Matia Fundazioa y se explicarán los avances y logros del proyecto.

We recently returned from an interesting trip that has taken us to the Republic of Uruguay. Throughout the second half of 2018 we had the opportunity to collaborate with the National Care System (SNC) and the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES) of that country, developing a project that consisted in the elaboration of an international review on the different models of quality management in dependency care services.

In view of the recently published news of the mistreatment suffered by two elderly women in a nursing home in Hortaleza, Madrid, the undersigned organizations express our strongest condemnation of such despicable acts.

According to UN data, between 4% and 6% of elderly people in the world have suffered some form of abuse and mistreatment. In Spain, according to some studies, the figures are quite similar. Only a minority, less than 10%, report any of these situations.

Narritadura, nahasmena, beldurra, negarra, aurpegi-adierazpenaren aldaketak, hasperenak, intziriak, oihuak, harreman pertsonaletako asaldurak eta jarduera-ereduak edo jateko gogorik eza dira alzheimerra duen pertsona bat mina sentitzen ari dela adierazten duten zantzuetako batzuk. Izan ere, patologia horren egoera aurreratuan dauden pertsonetan, dementzia ezarrita dagoenean, ondoeza hitzez adierazteko gaitasuna murriztu egiten da, eta zaila da haien portaera asaldatuaren kausa hautematea.

The Minister of Employment and Social Policies of the Basque Government, Beatriz Artolazabal, said today that the "Matia Foundation is an excellent model for promoting the capabilities of the elderly".

After a failed attempt, since the weather was not with us, we organize again a solidarity market with Emaus Social Foundation.

From Matia Fundazioa, we are working intensively on a model of care focused on the people who come to our centers, adapting the entire organization to them, to their preferences and needs, to their families and friends to integrate them into our daily life. Our aim is that they can live "as if they were at home".

Last week we visited us from Red Solidaria Bankia. 

They thanked us and recognized us for the work of the Matia Fundazioa for the development of a music therapy program to encourage creativity and musical composition of the elderly.

Thanks to the contribution of the San Sebastian Business Network we have been able to carry out this project.
